Where are you located?
We are located at 5565 Virginia Beach Blvd. in Virginia Beach, just 2 blocks east from the intersection of Virginia Beach Blvd and Newtown Road (next to Raceway Gas Station) Click here for directions.
How should I dress?
At HCCI, you come as you are. You will see members in suits and dresses as well as jeans and T-shirts. Tuesday night's Bible Study and the second Sunday of each month is casual and informal even for the ecclesiastical staff.
Do I have to bring a Bible? Which Bible translation do you use?
Our Pastor preaches from the KJV/Amplified Bible. Our Ushers have KJV Bibles available for use during each worship service so that you can follow along in God’s word during the message. We highly recommend that you bring a notebook and pen to take notes.
As a first-time guest, what do you have for me?
We would love to give you a message CD preached by Pastor K. L. Warren and a copy of our e-newsletter which gives detailed information about our ministry and activities. We ask that first-time guests complete a visitor guest card with contact information so that we can send you a note or email the following week and also keep you up-to-date on our church activities.
Will I be asked to give money?
Yes. For guests, just an offering. Whenever you come to a place of worship, it is an act of reverance to God that you recognize the word spoken over your life by an offering. Tithes and offerings are given as an act of worship for attendees who call HCCI their home. We teach and believe in Biblical stewardship and giving the tithe (the first tenth of income) declares that God comes first. It recognizes His blessing, expresses faith, and seeks His guidance in every matter in life.
At each service, an offering is received near the end of the service. Only the HCCI Finance department knows what anyone gives. Our church is operated through the tithes and free-will financial gifts from our partners. At each gathering, our church family is given an opportunity to bless/support our church. This is not a time of pressured involvement rather, a cheerful celebration of HIS goodness to us.
Who attends HCCI?
We have young and old, single, married and those with and without children. The majority of our members are families with children and teenagers. The average adult age range is in the early 30s.
Does the church have a nursery for my baby to attend?
You can have your child in service with you or take advantage of our Children's Church/Nursery Ministry on Sundays. Our facility is completely secure and you’re required to sign your child in and out of the nursery. Please note that your child must be at least 6 months. We do ask that if your child becomes difficult to handle during the service, in respect to those who around you, please kindly take your child to the nursery area and stay with your child until he/she is ready.
Where do my children go during service?
Children ages 6-13 participate in the Sunday morning worship with their parents and then exit to attend Children's Church before the word is preached.
During our Tuesday Night Bible Study, our youth, ages 12-18 attend our teenage bible study sessions that has been structured as means to focus on living based on Biblical priniciples in a modernized world.
Where do I park?
Our facility has nearly two hundred parking spaces. The only reserved parking is for the handicap partners and guests directly in the row in front of the church on the left side of the entrance. Handicap ramp is available. All partners and guests are welcome to park anywhere an open space is available in front of the building. Parking is also available on the left side of the building in the driveway that leads to the rear parking lot. Please park on the gas station side of the driveway. Additional parking is available in the parking lot at the rear of the church.
What is the service like?
Our services are filled with praise and worship that will usher you into the presence of God. The high point of our services comes with the preaching of God’s Word, the Bible, and an invitation for hearers to respond. The messages are fervent, inspiring, and practical. Pastor Warren always closes with an invitation for those who want to dedicate their lives to come forward, those who feel a need to re-commit their lives to Christ or to pray about other concerns are also invited to come. Believers are encouraged to ask for the Holy Spirit to further empower them for Christian service. Everyone is invited to come and pray during the altar service if they need it. Deep emotion and excitement is always demonstrated at the altar in a service, and everyone who calls on God in faith receives something.
Which days and times are services held?
There are two services held on Sunday. Those services begin at 9am and 12 noon. Bible study is held Tuesday night at 7:20pm.
